Fragrance Licensing

    Castle and Bishop Financial was approached by a global fragrance company requesting assistance in securing celebrities or brand names to license for new lines of perfume and cologne for specific segments of the U.S. consumer market. While this is not our typical business directive, Castle and Bishop is never afraid of a challenge, so we presented a broad range of licenses to fit our client’s criteria.

    After gauging market interest, the client chose three licenses to appeal to a diverse group of consumers: VÍCTOR MANUELLE, a successful Latin, Grammy-nominated, salsa singer. The FUBU urban fashion brand, which was founded by Daymond John, a star on the television show, Shark Tank. The US ARMY trademark, which is recognizable worldwide and is ranked among the top 200 global brands.

    Once license agreements were negotiated and finalized, Castle and Bishop Financial participated in the creative process with input for packaging and art design. As compensation for its efforts, Castle and Bishop Financial received annual royalties for all three brands (the sweet smell of success).
